Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport make the trip across the border this week to Knockhill circuit as they look to continue their championship challenge in round seven of the 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
The team will head to the fan favourite Knockhill Racing Circuit this week as the team prepares to do battle once again around the 1.27-mile circuit in Fife, just north of Edinburgh. The track is one of the shortest on the calendar, as well as one of the most challenging and with its narrow and undulating layout, its unique character is loved by fans and racers alike.
The circuit has been a happy hunting ground for driver, Jake Hill, with it being the venue for his first ever BTCC victory in 2019 before finishing on the podium in 2020 and 2021.
In recent years, the circuit has seen some of Jake's best performances, in 2022 he recorded pole position, two victories and two second place finishes to score the highest points tally for any driver that season. And in 2023, Hill would clinch two victories to catapult him back into title contention, a feat he will be looking to replicate this weekend.
The weekend will see Jake Hill, in his WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport, and the team having to carefully manage his hybrid deployment once again with his 2nd place championship position meaning he will have only 3 Secs/Lap of hybrid in qualifying, deployed at a minimum speed of 135 KPH, and six laps of hybrid to be used in the opening 24-lap race on Sunday.
All three races take place on Sunday, with live coverage available on TikTok, ITV4 and online at ITVX. Sunday’s triple header of races are scheduled to get underway at 11:45 (BST), 14.40 and 17.20 respectively. Live timing across the weekend is available here.
